September 17 / 3:00pm ET
Join us for a hearthside chat with Apollonia Poilâne, as part of our Bread Celebration. Apollonia will sit down (via Zoom) with our Executive Director, Karen Bornarth, to explore the blend of romance and realism in the world of baking and running a bakery. As the leader of the historic Poilâne bakery in Paris, Apollonia has preserved the rich traditions passed down through generations while infusing her own modern vision. A member of the Guild since 2017, Apollonia also serves on our Board of Directors, bringing her deep expertise and passion to our community.
This event is a fundraiser for the Guild, and registration is open with a donation of any amount. Your contribution helps us keep our programs and services accessible, ensuring that financial limitations don't stand in the way of anyone’s ability to participate. By supporting the Guild, you are championing the craft, culture, community, and business of artisan baking. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.

Our Bread Celebration, which runs through the month of September, is an opportunity to highlight the beloved place of craft bakers and bakeries in our communities and our cultures, and to raise money to sustain and develop the programs and services of the Guild.
(Upon donation, you will receive an email with the zoom link to the event.)
