Interactive Demo
Irish Brown Bread & Scones
Instructor: Maria Brennan of Victorian Bakery
Next in our line up of Celebration Bakes, this festive demo will lead participants through a selection of delicious bakes for a traditional St. Patrick's Day Feast. First up you will learn to make Irish Brown Bread, a pan loaf that uses add ins you have on hand. While that's in the oven, you'll learn a trio of Irish Scones: cheese, currant and zattayer. Make a lovely pot of tea, watch, learn and chat with Maria just in time for St. Paddy's Day.
All registrations include a live zoom link to participate and interact in real time as well as formulas and process notes emailed ahead of the class.

Born in Ireland, Maria Brennan started baking as a child. She became a flight attendant and experienced the food and bakeries of many countries. This is where her love for baking grew. After starting a family and moving to Kalamazoo, Michigan, she knew she wanted to open a bakery. A course at Ballymaloe's Cookery School and two bread courses at the King Arthur Baking School in Vermont set the wheels in motion for the Victorian Bakery's eventual opening in 2006.
